We stayed at the Red Roof Inn Hotel, right around the corner from the "Magnificent Mile." It was so nice being that close because when we wanted to go shopping the downtown streets of Chicago it was super easy. In fact, we didn't have to walk far at all, it was like when we stepped outside we were in the middle of everything!
While in Chicago, after getting our daily dose of morning Starbucks coffee, we went out to gain business connections. Over the weekend, FA visited with a wide variety of retail and fashion companies including: Bloomingdales, Ript Apparel, AT&T,

Some of the retailers that we visited in Chicago this October 2013 were Navy Pier, AKIRA, Merchandise Mart, Jenny Yoo, and Bloomingdale's.
NETWORKING TRIPS
Each fall semester, FA goes on a networking trip near the end of October! Over the years, members have explored the streets and shops of Chicago, Pittsburgh and Philly. Not only is this a great way to get out of Athens for the weekend, but it is also a great way to gain networking experiences one wouldn't get if they stayed on-campus.

The cost to go on FA's annual networking trip usually lies between ($150-$200), but by participating in our various fundraising options the cost of the trip could be cheaper! After all of that, members on these trips get the chance to go off on their own to eat, site see, explore, and of course shop till they drop! The trip is timed very well so that our members do not miss class, and so that we don't waste time traveling.
Pittsburgh!

Driving through the Fort Pitt tunnel into the city of Pittsburgh was a great way to start our experience as the FA group! Not only was this trip to help all members network with various companies for potential offers in the future andto create business connections, it was also a great time to get to know each other.

This trip was an amazing add on to Fashion Associates networking trips! We took a nice road trip to Philly and enjoyed some original cheese steaks. We networked with Urban Outfitters, Anthropology, and Free People. We got the chance to see one of the coolest home offices! In our free time we went shopping and got to experience all that Philly had to offer.
